The
term railroading refers to the direction of a fabric in relation
to the way it rolls off the bolt.
Conventional
fabric has the pattern going up the fabric roll. In
other words, it runs on the length of the fabric.
Railroaded fabric has the pattern running on the width, or
sideways up the roll.
In most cases, Clasen Home can work with either
type of fabric. The results will depend on the width
of the fabric, the pattern and how it is to be matched - as you can
see on the headboards shown in the diagram.
When you are considering a railroaded fabric, just
call and ask us about its layout on any of our pieces of furniture.
Our upholsterers are experts in pattern matching and we want to create
exactly what you have in mind.
